2nd The Christmas Music Festival in Zagreb 2017

1–21st December, 2017

It is only the second year of the Christmas Music Festival in Zagreb, and we already gathered 49 participants, choirs and vocal ensembles, that is about 1200 singers from all over Croatia.

The feature of the Festival 2017 was multiculturalism, on the Festival performed a choir consisted of refugees (Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, …), a couple from Iran who sang spiritual songs in Persian as well as national minorities with Ukrainian, Italian, Russian songs…

The Festival was held in the beautiful historic places of our city: the Museum of Arts and Crafts, the MIMARA Museum, the Dverce Palace, the French Pavilion, in the Churches of St. Catherine and St. Francis Ksaverski, the Archaeological Museum, in the St. Benedict Church in Stupnik, as well as on the new open attractive space in front of the Croatian National Theater.

As a part of the Festival, the humanitarian action CHILDREN FOR CHILDREN was held with the aim to help children suffering from malignant illness (more about it under the Activities).
The humanitarian children’s concert, held on December 15th in the Museum of Arts and Crafts had a live video on the social networks so that our „little fighters„ whom the concert was intended to could listen it. The concert was attended by 20,000 listeners on the facebook!
